In May of 2016, we spent a week in Corsica with family, belatedly celebrating Sister Linny’s xx-ieth birthday. We traveled around and across the island, spending time on Cap Corse, then in a wonderful house above the sea in Palombaggia. Flying into Corsica, we were shocked to see snow-capped mountains, rising to nearly 9,000 feet. And yet the surrounding waters were a Caribbean turquoise – quite a contrast.
